Long distance love can feel deeply dramatic when you are young and hopeful. It can often lead to break up and break down and this is when love elicits its greatest dramas. The pain was indeed real, as is shown in this poem. In hindsight one can look back with humour. In hindsight this particular 'long lost love' has transformed into a collection of beautiful memories. I will forever be grateful for those memories and the delight that accompanies them. This poem shows what it is to wallow in the depths of a long distance love.
