Totgefahren im Suff | Crimespot Doku

Johanna (20) was at a local festival near Husum (Schleswig-Holstein) with friends. One of her casual acquaintances drove her and three other friends home in her mother's car. Driving at excessive speed and with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.2%, the car crashed into a tree. Four people were seriously injured, and Johanna died. Since November 18, 2020, the driver has been on trial at the Husum District Court, facing charges including negligent homicide. Today is the second day of the trial, and a verdict is expected. Johanna's parents want to go public. They say the drunk driver had a long and troubled history. They claim he had already caused another accident before this crash, driving a car into the village pond while intoxicated. This accident was allegedly covered up. He also reportedly posted videos showing him and his passengers drinking beer while driving. "Our daughter could still be alive if he had been held accountable back then," the parents say. They also claim that he resumed his partying and drinking heavily shortly after the fatal crash. When questioned by the judge on the first day of the trial, the defendant admitted to having a problem with alcohol. #Crime #Documentary #Alcohol --- Support the channel on Steady: https://steadyhq.com/de/crimespot Editors: Christoph Schult, Zoé-Lara Steinmüller, derGerichtsreporter.de Camera: Christoph Schult Concept & Editing: Simon Mitbauer Contact: [email protected] --- Crimespot Documentary tells true crime stories from Germany.
