Hello and welcome to MOPEG! Today we’ll take a walk through the heart of Rome, from Via Veneto all the way to Galleria Alberto Sordi. It’s a simple route, but full of atmosphere—especially in these final days when the Christmas lights still illuminate the city before being switched off at the end of the holidays. We start on Via Veneto, one of Rome’s most elegant and iconic streets. Here, among historic hotels and timeless cafés, the lights create a warm, cinematic atmosphere. It’s impossible not to think of La Dolce Vita while walking under these decorations. Heading down toward Piazza Barberini, the city opens up before us with its livelier rhythm. The Triton Fountain welcomes us at the center of the square, with the Christmas lights creating truly enchanting reflections. We continue along Via del Tritone, one of the busiest arteries of the city center. Here, the holiday lights intertwine with traffic, shop windows, and the flow of people, offering a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Just a few steps away, we stop in front of one of Rome’s most beloved landmarks: the Trevi Fountain. Our walk ends at Galleria Alberto Sordi, beautifully lit and dressed for the holidays.
