During Javier Luxor's presentation, we learned something I had never considered before: the power of "no" in negotiations. How to set high goals to elicit a negative response, and then, by stating our true objective, ensure a resounding "yes." Why? Because we have already compromised by lowering our initial proposal, and our counterpart is forced to compromise and grant our second request. In other words, we learned to use the principle of reciprocity. We also learned another important truth: if we get people to commit to something (such as signing a petition) and then ask them to do something related to it, it will be much harder for them to say no. An engineer and MBA graduate from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he is currently recognized as one of the best corporate mentalists in the world. He has worked for over 10 years leading sales and marketing teams in multinational companies across various sectors. He currently combines his work as a professional mentalist with training and motivating teams. He has received several national and international awards, including the National Mentalism Award.
