It is considered as one of the best openings for white after the moves 1.e4 e5. In this video, IM Andrey Ostrovskiy is sharing with you the Tarrasch Trap, which is a famous opening trap in the Open Variation of the Ruy Lopez. The Ruy Lopez opening is characterized by the following move sequence: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 and after 3...a6 4.Ba4 Nf6 5.0-0 Nxe4, we enter the Open Variation. After a couple of more moves, white is setting the trap by playing 11.Nd4, attacking black's bishop and knight simultaneously.
