Everything You Need to Set Up a Guided Math Binder

Organization is key when it comes to teaching small groups. Every moment counts when you only have a small bit of time to really connect with and teach your students. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way. My Type B personality often left me scrambling to find the sticky notes on which I jotted down what I wanted to cover that day. I quickly realized that I needed to get organized. I created a location with all my small group materials. When making my Guided Math Binder, I made sure to include EVERYTHING so nothing would get lost or misplaced. My binder holds all I need to teach small groups at any time- guided math group section, planning pages, observation and data sections, standards checklists, a rotation board section.
