How a Two-Block Campus Is Reimagining Early Education in OKC

On a single two-block campus in Oklahoma City, several organizations are working together to give students and their families everything they need to thrive. Since 2021, Sunbeam Family Services has operated the Bob & Jean Harbison Early Education Center and the Kiwanis Community Center, located next door to Mark Twain Elementary School and Engage Learning's makerspace. Through Sunbeam, the campus offers high-quality Early Head Start and Head Start programming alongside comprehensive wraparound support designed to help the whole family thrive. This work has been made possible in part through the investment and partnership of Devon Energy, which partners with Sunbeam Family Services and Oklahoma City Public Schools' Mark Twain Elementary to support children and parents and promote a love of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
