Solar (Herbie Hancock transcription)

“Solar,” written by Chuck Wayne, piano solo by Herbie Hancock, transcribed by Chris Bandy. In 2017, I uploaded a low-quality transcription of the first half of the solo, right hand only. Now, four years later, I am publishing a huge revision, with seven major changes: (1) the entire solo is uploaded, (2) the entire left hand comping is added, (3) the pulse is 8th notes, not 16th notes, (4) dozens of errors are corrected, (5) dozens of articulations are added, (6) the first chord, originally left out, is now included, and (7) the video and engraving quality is much higher. Back in 2017, I thought the solo was cool but kind of weird. Now, I think the solo is absolutely insane, and this new revision is just the beginning of my understanding what is going on. Enjoy!
