In astrophotography, we often think that the more expensive the equipment, the better the results… but what if that weren't exactly the case? In this video, I'll show you three levels of astrophotography equipment, from a basic setup with a Star Adventurer-type mount, through an intermediate setup with a harmonic mount and apochromatic refractor, to a fully equipped remote observatory with a large-aperture telescope. However, there's something that completely changes the game: equipment control. Thanks to tools like NINA, ASIAIR, and dedicated mini PCs, it's now possible to automate astrophotography sessions in a very similar way, regardless of the level of equipment you're using.
