2007 Camry Trunk Won't Stay Closed / Won't Close

Remove covers 2. Remove Latch (not necessary, but makes Step 3 easier) 3. Shave (little at a time) the part of the Black Rotary Actuator which holds the Silver Unlock Actuator from returning to normal position 4. Before you shave too much, test it. FIX & COST Replacing the latch assembly… $280 ish for parts. Another 20 - 30 bucks for labor Latch assembly is a dealer only part. No After Markets //2020 UPDATE: Folks in the comments say DIY replacement with $25-$30 aftermarket part is available.
