Today, I'm taking you to Marcel, the newly opened French restaurant inside Sotheby's!🍷💓 Marcel is a collaboration between Sotheby's, the world-renowned auction house specializing in fine art, jewelry, luxury goods, and wine, and Roman and Williams, the acclaimed New York design studio behind Le Coucou and Tin Building. The restaurant is located inside the iconic Breuer Building, which served as the Whitney Museum of American Art for nearly 50 years. Marcel is also named after the building's architect, Marcel Breuer. As you'd expect from a restaurant partnered with Sotheby's, the artwork, decorative objects, and even the tableware throughout the dining room are all available for purchase. The wine list, curated in collaboration with Sotheby's Wine, also allows guests to purchase bottles separately. Blending art, design, wine, and dining inside one of New York's most iconic former museum buildings, Marcel has quickly become one of the city's most talked-about new restaurants—and I couldn't wait to visit. ❤️ 🐝 Pro Tip Since every bottle is stored and managed by Sotheby's Wine, the condition of the wines is simply outstanding. 🍷 You'll also find plenty of bottles with surprisingly reasonable markups, so I'd highly recommend ordering a bottle during your meal.
