Heathkit PS23 & HW12A 1966 transceiver overhaul Pt2

well this is day three of working on this & no CB's. In this video I replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the Heathkit PS23 power supply & switch it on via a 230V isolation trasnformer & 115V auto-transformer, just in case it is a USA model & not a UK one. After remedial tests I connected the HW12A transceiver & there was no smoke & everything was about half voltage showing it must be a UK 230V PSU. That's as far as we've got for hours of work! Richard P.S. spoiler alert, the PSU checked out ok on 230V & the radio appears to work; we could here stations talking Just had to order adaptors as the aerial & the speaker sockets are Belling-Lee. Should get it on the test gear tomorrow, but can see 120W PEP into the RF meter with dummy load.
