Rehomed rescue horses prove popular at Colchester Zoo
Find out more about rehoming a horse from World Horse Welfare http://bit.ly/pJuAWi Meg, a dark bay Shire horse, was rescued by World Horse Welfare in 2008 after we received a call from a concerned member of the public who had seen that she was suffering from a horrendous foot injury. Meg, along with another World Horse Welfare horse called Bruce, play an integral part in the 'Familiar Friends' area at the zoo along with other animals such as: - guinea fowl, sheep, llamas, rabbits and rats. The facility allows members of the public to meet the animals and groom and stroke them.
