Dr 18hp field and brush mower won't start ~ Doesn't turn over with new battery (read comments!!!)

recently our DR 18hp field and brush mower (Kawasaki FS541V engine) broke down and wouldn't start. a month ago from film date on March-20-20 (3-20-20), the mower was cranking over (but needed fuel) and was fine, the mower sits outside in the weather (it doesn't any more, now it is parked under cover) now on the film date, I went to start it and nothing happened. so we put it on a charge... nothing. went and bought a new $60... nothing.....charge it...still nothing. thanks to my very gifted Papa (grandpa) he helped find the problem in just a few minutes as said in the video water got down in the key hole and rusted everything...and rust=corosion and corosion=no electrical connection and no electrical connection means the mower won't start. so it was as simple as buying a new switch and we were back in business NOTE: your existing key should work with a new ignition switch.....make sure you have the same type for as DR may have change the style of connectors through the years of production LINK(S) For New IGNITION SWITCH.
