The new product of 2021 has arrived to me - Xesta Runway SLS S91-S Solid Long Shooter. I took it to replace the SLS S94, which I fished with for about 3 seasons and decided to try a more recent model from this series). S91-S is in many ways similar to S94, but there are also a number of differences. It has a more informative tip (Solid) and, accordingly, works better with light weights. Fuji Sic-S rings on long legs, unlike the low ones that are on the S94. The test on the line is 0.2-0.8 (for S94 0.3-1). At night I went out to sea with a new rod. I started with the Ruler 5g and I can say that everything is super with this rod with the seagull, such a small weight already knocks out in the hand. I continued to fish with a drop shot. Used 12-14g Tyroleans. Lures - Select Rank Craw 2.8’’ crayfish. Result: a slab of wood and a dozen scorpionfish in a couple of hours. Despite such a not small test of the rod - I enjoyed even such small fish. Well, and before dark I caught horse mackerel on light pilkers.
