Así se fabrica el nuevo C 130J Super Hercules Mexicano

The production line begins with the manufacture of the outer wings. This is a six-month process that includes elements such as ballistic protection for the fuel tanks. The wings are built in three main parts, including the wing center box, which is where the wings join the fuselage, according to Lockheed Martin production personnel. Next, the forward section and the cockpit are built separately. The forward section, the center fuselage, and the tail are then joined together. During this process, the six kilometers of wiring used in each C-130J are integrated. The construction of a Hercules takes approximately one year, and up to 20 are in production simultaneously on average.
