How One Simple Phrase Helped Me Become a More Strategic HR Business Partner
#DesignThinking #ProblemSolving #CriticalThinking #Innovation 🧐 WHO AM I? I wish I had this channel when I was at Uni and transitioned into working world and next chapter in my life. It would have certainly made things easier for me. So here I am, 15 years later having a go at making videos and sharing content and tools that are centred around personal and career development of knowledge workers, content for HR Business Partners, psychology, neuroscience hacks that aim to help us work smarter, better and happier. My goal is for you to realise your potential and do something about it. Basically, everything that schools and universities don't cover in great detail. I work full time as a Strategic HR Business Partner role and live in England. If you are an aspiring HRBP, or not sure how to add value in your role, you may find my videos helpful. Message me if you would like me to share any of the templates with you. You can message me directly on [email protected] or you can also find me on LinkedIn and DM me there. Let's keep in contact! I respond to all of my messages. 🤔 What is this video about? Many workplace challenges stem from asking the wrong questions. The "How Might We" (HMW) approach, introduced by Procter & Gamble in the 1950s and later popularised by IDEO, reframes problems as opportunities for innovation. Ever since I came across this phrase and I started using it, they way I approach solving problems at work has completely changed the way I do it, how I come across in business meetings and ultimately have amazing business conversations. Give it a go, it is a game changer phrase. It is worth spending time to understand and use it daily. Why "How Might We" Works: ✔️ "How" encourages exploration. ✔️"Might" keeps possibilities open-ended. ✔️ "We" fosters collaboration. ✔️ Adding "so that we" clarifies the desired outcome. 0:00 Intro 01:01 How Might We Examples 04:57 Key Takeaways - Bad vs Strong Problem Statements 05:38 Personal Reflections 🎥 Please subscribe for weekly videos on YouTube 💌 Subscribe to my blog website for templates/tools and guides and weekly motivational newsletters | https://www.focusyourself.co.uk 📩 Instagram | / sanja.williams 🎓 I also run the Expert HRBP Academy - weekly live sessions covering relevant technical topics for a small monthly fee - find our more info here - https://www.focusyourself.co.uk/plans... 💌 If you would like a chat, book a call with me here - https://www.focusyourself.co.uk/book-... 🧰 All of my tools and toolkits - my digital store - https://www.focusyourself.co.uk/shop If there is anything you would like me to cover for you in more detail please let me know.
