If the justice of the Christian must exceed that of the Pharisees, where are the concrete examples of this justice? If we are to love our neighbor, what about needy members, former members, and those who disagree with the institution? If Jesus commands us to leave our offering at the altar and first seek reconciliation with our brother, how does this commandment relate to conflicts and legal proceedings involving critics and former members? And when the Sunday School itself affirms that we should be faithful to what we say, another inevitable question arises: Does the Maranata Christian Church practice what it teaches? In this live stream, we will hear Gilson Sousa's own words, open the biblical texts he cites, and do what we consider indispensable: compare religious discourse with practice. Because the problem is not in the Sermon on the Mount.
