The cyclists face a "grilling climb" (2:13) and encounter the infamous fog of Mayodia, which significantly reduces visibility (2:58). Despite the challenges, they continue their ascent, reaching a point 20 kilometers from Mayodia (5:20) and later the Chikopani bridge (7:15), with Mayodia still 15 kilometers away (7:05).
