They offer two channels each - clean and drive - in a two-channel configuration, with or without cabinet simulation, for direct or power amp/cab use. For this video I have chosen to run the Micro Preamps directly to my Mbox 3 Pro soundcard to show off all of their features. You could, if you wished, run them without the Cab Sim engaged to the effects return of your guitar amplifier and use the footswitch as a channel selector (can also be used as standard ON/OFF switch). Additionally, you could use them with your DAW's IR loader or something like the Two Notes devices on your pedalboard or in your rack. They have all sorts of cool applications. Do the Micro Preamps sound good? I think they sound great. As an inexpensive alternative to a real amp they compete very strongly indeed.
