Five-time All-Japan Karate Champion Director of the Japan Karate Kazumi Dojo. Rank: 6th Dan From the early 1990s to the early 2000s, he competed in the Kyokushinkaikan's open tournament All-Japan Karate Championship and the open tournament World Karate Championship. In his first appearance at the 24th All-Japan Championships in 1992, he made it all the way to the finals, and has since reached the finals of every championship he has participated in. Using a unique style of distance, footwork, and rhythmic thrusts and front kicks, as well as attacks centered on mid- and low-level roundhouse kicks, he has won the All-Japan Championships a total of five times, including three consecutive championships. This record still stands today. When measuring the force of his low-level roundhouse kick, he achieved an incredible 2,112 kg.
