Does Storm Kill? (Video Essay)

Superhero media is dominated by some of the most powerful characters in fiction going out of their way to not eliminate their enemies. So, any time I see a character grow in the other direction, and learn to accept lethal force, it piques my interest. This video uses the lens of Storm's views on death to analyze her character arc in the Claremont Run of X-Men comics. 16 years as the X-Men's main character gave her so much room to grow and so many amazing stories, it's so fun to look back and try and spot the larger threads. While this essay is mainly interested in Claremont's version of the character, it's worth noting that most modern interpretations - including those that lead more into capital-G status - seem to use this same understanding of Storm's morality.
