Taylor Swift has been one of the biggest names in the music industry for the past twenty years, and in this video we will look at how she has done that. In my opinion she has used 3 main steps to achieve this. First, she really cares about her fans and how she engages with them. She takes time to listen and to read their feedback. She takes this feedback seriously and genuinely implements their advice into her business strategy and song releases! Secondly, Taylor is open and honest. She writes openly about her struggles and this brings the audience in closer. Taylor even makes use of Controversy to her advantage. Examples of this would be her 10 minute release of 'All Too Well'. Thirdly, Taylor has fought hard for her independence. Since finishing her contract with her old record label, she has been able to be in creative control of her new music. Tay Tay has used this to her advantage as she has released songs she wants to, and makes music videos / short movies where she wants to! Independence is everything, and Taylor is making full use of that now.
