What do the Best Quilters Know? The secret to my Scrappy Potato Chip Block Quilts is to use whatever fabric I have on-hand, BUT COLORS MATTER! Scrappy quilts look best with lots of different fabrics, especially if you're using a similarly sized block. In this case it's 2.5-inch strips. Every quilter has plenty of these leftovers from jelly rolls and binding strips. Plus grab your other precuts and see what you can find. I use lots of fat quarter for every quilt I make. Here I pile my fat quarters together creating a fun color scheme, cut them into precut sizes and begin sewing. The results are Scrapstashtic!
