Hotel Review: Travelodge Peterborough Central, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England - June 2019

A review of the Travelodge Hotel in Peterborough city centre, filmed in June 2019. The hotel is located in Peterborough city centre, near the markets and passport office. It is around a ten minute walk from Peterborough Railway Station and a five minute walk from Peterborough Cathedral. The hotel is located next door to a very good Turkish restaurant (recommended). The hotel is on the first floor of the same building. It is necessary to get a lift up from street level. Reception is bright and open with vending machines tables and chairs and a reception desk. The staff were friendly and check-in was straightforward. Our room was on the 2nd floor, you need your room key card to enter the corridor as a security feature. The room (219) was a decent size, with a king-sized bed and an extra put up double bed. Two nights cost £93 on a room only basis. The room had a large open wardrobe, desk, two chairs, desk fan, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen Samsung TV. There are USB sockets at either side of the bed. The room didnt have airconditioning, and was unfortunately very hot, the desk fan helped but it was still a very warm room. The bathroom had a large mirror, sink, toilet and unfortunately a shower bath. There were ample towels. This film features views of the hotel exterior, lift, 2nd floor corridor, a detailed inspection of room 219 and reception. I would consider staying at this hotel again in future, however I would probably not stay again in the hot Summer months due to the lack of air conditioning.
