Is your car's CVT transmission stuck in first gear and won't shift to the next gear no matter what you do? Did anyone tell you that the only solution is to replace the entire transmission? Don't rush into it, because this is a complex and insidious problem, and I managed to fix it at a fraction of the cost. Additional explanation of the problem: First, make sure the alternator is charging more than 13.5 volts. Second, disconnect the battery cables and check that it's providing 12.5 volts. Ensure the ground connections between the battery and the transmission, or between the car body and the transmission, are secure. Corrosion, chaining, or breakage at any connector terminal can cause a connection problem. Inspect the back of each connector to ensure all wires are securely fastened and there are no loose or frayed wires.
