Black Sabbath: Moscow '89 - Thunder Behind the Iron Curtain (1989) Mikhail Gorbachev opened up the USSR to western acts in 1989, and Black Sabbath were one of the first artists to take advantage of this when they played Olympski Hall in Moscow, Russia while on the Headless Cross Tour. It was during the era when Tony Martin fronted the band and we also had Neil Murray on the bass and Cozy Powell on the drums as well as Geoff Nicholls on keys and of course, guitarist Tony Iommi.
