Instandsetzung Sirene Typ E57 mit HSG + Probealarm | 05.12.20 in Iznang

During the first nationwide warning day, this E57 siren in Iznang, as well as all other sirens in the municipality of Moos, were activated for the first time in over 25 years with the "Warning" (formerly "Air Raid Alarm") and "All Clear" signals. Since this is not possible via analog radio technology, the signals were activated using the handheld control unit (HSG). However, this unit jammed during a signal and did not switch off, so the siren continued to wail. As a result, the siren had to be shut down and taken out of service. I learned of this incident by chance, and together with a good colleague, we repaired the system on a voluntary basis on December 5, 2020. To do this, we first removed the HSG to then test its general functionality with a radio trigger from the control center. Afterward, the HSG was repaired and reintegrated into the system. At the end of the video, you can see the monthly test alarm, which happened to take place on the day of the repair. The entire system is now fully operational again.
