Вена и Братислава — где работа это не главное. Большой выпуск о жизни и карьере в Австрии и Словакии

A new episode of Three by Greenwich about Belarusian professionals all over the world. Support us on Patreon   / plus3by   This time we went on a road trip across two twin capitals — Vienna and Bratislava, separated by just 60 km — to get to know the stories of six of our compatriots: • Vlad — a plastic surgeon who made his way from medical university in Vienna to a postdoc at Harvard. Today he has returned to Austria and operates in the central clinical hospital. • Roma — an architect who, after college at BNTU, started everything from scratch at the Vienna University of Technology. Now he designs schools, arenas, and residential neighborhoods in one of the city's leading architectural bureaus. • Ales — host of the channel, who spent a year in Vienna for his master's degree and arranged a "Viennese micro-retirement" for himself, uncovering the secret of the local work-life balance. • Dasha — a singer, finalist of the 2020 Eurovision national selection, who opened her vocal class in the very heart of Bratislava's old town and teaches locals how to sing. • Sergey — a former host on Belarusian TV, who moved to Bratislava, launched his media business, and started his career with a clean slate. • Nastya — a business analyst at Swiss Re, who runs a blog about life in Slovakia and helps other immigrants figure out how everything works here. We took a guidebook to Minsk with us and looked for architectural rhymes between the capitals. We found out what "Red Vienna" is and why social housing here is a matter of pride, not shame. We visited the Kahlenberg mountain, where in 1683 the army of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth saved Europe from the Ottoman siege. We jumped into a car and an hour later drove to Bratislava, where we figured out why Belarusians work "too fast" for the Slovaks. This episode is about how two cities teach us an important art: not only to work, but to truly live.
