Friday, July 24, 2026 Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, things you do not know.” Simone Biles is the world's best gymnast. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, everyone expected her to win a gold medal. But midway through the competition, she suddenly withdrew due to a mental health issue called "twisties," a dangerous condition where athletes lose their bearings in the air. If forced, they can become paralyzed. She chose to rest, see a counselor, and pray. Three years later, she returned at the 2024 Paris Olympics and brought home three gold medals. She said, “The greatest victory is not a medal, but the peace I have when I call out and the Lord holds me.” God spoke in the above passage to the prophet Jeremiah while he was in prison and his nation was about to experience destruction. The situation was completely dark. But in times like these, God strengthened him through His Word and promise that when he cried out to God, God would answer and provide a way out. Jeremiah 33:3 also reminds us not to make any decisions when we are in a state of panic. Call out to God first. Tell Him all our problems. And wait, because God loves to answer in ways we never imagined. When we feel there is no way out of our problems, God invites us into the secret place of prayer, and we will emerge victorious.
