Why Different Seeds Require Different Air Cart Setups
After finishing oats, it was time to switch the air cart over to millet seed. In this video we: • Empty the remaining oats from the cart • Load millet seed into the air cart • Recalibrate the metering system for the much smaller seed size This process relies on a chain of approximations: plant population → seed weight → meter roller revolutions → ground speed Not perfect, but close enough to get the job done in the field.
