2015 NISSAN Sentra - Eco Mode
For information please visit https://owners.nissanusa.com/nowners/. You will find quick reference guides and other useful information about your warranty, Bluetooth® system, and much more! The Eco mode helps to enhance your vehicle’s fuel economy by controlling the engine and transmission to help avoid rapid acceleration. To activate Eco mode, press the Eco switch located on the lower left side of the instrument panel. The Eco mode indicator light on the speedometer will illuminate to let you know that you are in Eco mode. The Eco mode display will also appear. This is the Eco Pedal Indicator. When it is in the green range, it means the vehicle is within economy range. If the Eco Pedal Indicator’s bar is out of the green range, it indicates that the accelerator is being pressed past the economy range. The Eco Pedal Indicator’s bar cannot be seen when cruise control is on. Also, if your vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission you’ll see this gearshift indicator. This is used to tell the driver when to upshift or downshift for maximum fuel economy. Selecting the Eco Drive Mode may not help improve fuel economy. Individual driving habits may influence its effectiveness. To turn Eco mode off, press the Eco switch again. The Eco mode indicator and display will turn off as well. If acceleration is required, as in situations like driving uphill or carrying passengers or cargo, Eco mode should be turned off. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations and additional operating information. "
