Presentación del libro «El cuerpo y la palabra. El erotismo en la Generación del 27»
The event began with welcoming remarks from Carmen Noguero, Secretary General of the Cervantes Institute. The panelists included: Nuria Rodríguez Lázaro, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne; Sonia Fernández Hoyos, Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne; Carlos Sainz de la Maza, Professor Emeritus of Spanish Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM); and Rafael Morales Barba, Professor of Literature at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Moderator: María Jesús García González, former Director of the Cervantes Institutes in Toulouse, Casablanca, and Bordeaux. Abstract: The relationship between eroticism and poetry has been extensively studied, and its connection is undeniable. Octavio Paz, in *The Double Flame*, went so far as to assert that they were inseparable and that poetry could be considered a form of "verbal eroticism." What this collective essay offers the reader is a new perspective on the relationship between eroticism and transgression, especially at a historical moment when, for a time, everything seemed possible in Spain, when profound transformations in the economic, political, cultural, and social spheres formed the basis of the promise of a brighter future. The various approaches to the major voices of the Generation of '27 presented in this volume explore the extent to which eroticism could be transgressive within the context of the Generation of '27 and how poetry became a space for asserting creative freedom. ▶ Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/InstitutoCerv...
