On Point EDC: Real Steel – Luna, Best Modern Slipjoint under $100

On this episode we review a real sleeper of a release from knife maker Reel Steel, their Modern Slipjoint, the Luna crams a lot of specs and features into a quite affordable and stylish package. Personally, the idea of dropping high dollars into any slipjoint doesn't really sit well with me, since locking knives are just functionally more capable cutting tools, so at under $100, the Luna packs a real punch featuring an N690 blade and nicely contoured titanium handles. Additionally, the Poltergeist Works design aesthetic is beautifully executed here making for a handsome gentlemen's carry that with its under 3" blade length and non-locking layout make it legal to carry pretty much anywhere. I think the Real Steel Luna has a ton to offer and as much as I value quick deploying knives that offer some enjoyable fidget factor, I still found the Luna slipjoint to be a joy in both the hand and pocket. Let me know what you think in the comments below, thanks guys!
