It also works in conjunction with the traffic lights present at the crossing, as it is the intersection of a main road and 2 side streets. The crossing equipment includes: 12 Westinghouse LED Lights 6 Westinghouse Crossarms 2 General Signals Type 2 E-Bells 2 Safetran boom gate mechanisms 2 Wishbone Gates 6 Artcraft gate lights 2 Westinghouse 5" Bases 2 Cantilevers 4 Black on white SORS signs 4 White crossbucks As of publishing, this crossing has been listed as one of the level crossings to be removed by the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). This crossing will be removed alongside Wickham Rd/Worthing St, Highett by means of an elevated rail corridor (Skyrail), in conjunction with a new Highett Station. This is planned to be finished by 2029.
