Date: 31.10.2021 Rolling stock: ABvmz-coach of "alex" Vmax. of the train: 140 km/h Vmax. gefahren: 140 km/h Fahrzeit: 3:34 h In this video we go by "alex", a brand of the Länderbahn, from Munich Hbf to Hof Hbf. I took place in the passenger entrance area of the wagon which was at the end of the train between Munich and Regensburg, in order to record this video there. This wagon is a past Amz 210 series coach (pure compartment coach), which were built in 1991 for Interregio trains. For being taken in service for alex these coaches were downgraded to second class in large part, climatised and equipped with a handicapped accessible WC as well as a multifunctional compartment. Maximum allowed speed of this vehicle is 200 km/h. The wagon in the middle is another compartment coach series Bm 235, which is a past Intercity or Interregio coach. The special feature of it is that the energy supply doesn´t take place via the heating train line, instead it generates power itself using an axle driven generator. Maximum speed is 160 km/h. The third one is a 3rd generation double decker coach with low entrance like often in service for DB Regio. That is all that is to say about it, i think. That day the train wasn´t united with another train part of three coaches to Prague as usual, instead passengers had to change at Schwandorf. Furthermore the train wasn´t pulled by an "Taurus" e-Loco until Regenburg that time but by a diesel locomotive Class 223. After Regensburg and the loco switch there another Class 223 was applied. Because the direction of travel was changed there, the second loco got coupled right in front of my coach.
