Who is the best breakdown cover provider? What about if you are towing a caravan or trailer, or driving a large motorhome? If you are looking to renew your breakdown insurance with the AA or the RAC, there are some very important details and conditions of policy that you might not be aware of. I had let my specialist cover from Green Flag (marketed by the Caravan and Motorhome Club as Mayday) lapse, as I had free RAC breakdown cover. I found out that the free breakdown insurance was worth even less that what I paid for it. In this video I recall the story of the breakdown of my Kia EV6, whose 12 volt system failed 300 miles from home while towing the caravan.
