Mercedes-Benz Citaro GDH MAX. Torque from Electric Motors🔋 and Diesel Generator (INCREDIBLE SOUND🎧)

If you are a regular on my channel you have definitely seen many videos with the hybrid Citaros (GDH) and how remarkable sounds they make. Flooring it on these beasts gives instant torque from the electric motor on the rear achsis and then the diesel generator kicks in. The video is aboard Linie 1 (to Aixer Straße/ Fr. Viertel) and the video was recorded during the construction/renovation works on the central station in Tübingen (Tübingen Hauptbahnhof) who is being modernized the past year or so. For that reason buses that were heading to the southern districts of the city had to make a circle around and over the station to skip the closed road (to Blaue Brücke). This was a nice chance for me to record this Citaro achieving higher speed than usual, as the road to skip the construction works allows for a higher speed limit than the usual 30 km/h. And the driver floored it!
