“A Special Miracle for an Ordinary Life” Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, which originated at Eunpyeong Cheonsawon (now Angels Haven), has dedicated itself to holistic rehabilitation treatment for the past 20 years. However, rehabilitation hospitals remain woefully inadequate; many patients, including our children and adolescents who become disabled due to a lack of timely treatment, are forced to wander from hospital to hospital under the name of "rehabilitation refugees." The reality of rehabilitation medicine in Korea is that it focuses primarily on physical rehabilitation, leaving virtually no support for social reintegration or for the families caring for patients. Amidst this reality, Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital is preparing a new hope. We dream of a hospital that restores not only the patient's body but also their mind and social role; a hospital that helps patients return quickly to their daily lives rather than constantly moving between hospitals; and a hospital where children with disabilities can receive lifelong health care until they become elderly. What we can do now is to cry and cry out with our marginalized neighbors who are in pain and suffering but cannot even voice their struggles.
