BMW E61 Projekt | TÜV mit 400.000 km? Teil 1

390,000 km BMW E61: Will we pass the German vehicle inspection (TÜV)? 🛠️ | Project 525d Welcome to my first big project! My BMW E61 525d has a proud 390,000 km on the clock, and the goal is clear: a fresh TÜV inspection sticker. But there's still a long way to go. In this episode, we're getting down to brass tacks. We're dismantling the front end and working our way deep into the engine bay. The infamous exhaust manifold needs to be replaced, and while we're at it, we'll take everything apart. What we'll be doing in this video: A comprehensive assessment: What does an E61 really look like after 390,000 kilometers? Disassembly: The intake manifold and valve cover are coming off. Exhaust manifold replacement: The weak point of the M57 engine – we're replacing the part. Visual makeover: The cloudy headlights are being refurbished so the big guy can see clearly again. It's a lot of work, dirt, and sweat, but it's worth it for this classic. If you're into honest wrenching and BMW engineering, then stay tuned!
