The Men Who Opened Their Hearts to Islam
Who were the Ansar, and why did they hold such a special place in the history of Islam? In this third session of our Muharram series, Shaykh Bazi reflects on the remarkable sacrifices made by the Ansar, the people of Madinah who opened their homes, wealth, and hearts to support Rasulullah ﷺ and the early Muslim community. The bayan explores the early pledges of Aqabah, how a small group of sincere believers carried the message of Islam back to their people, and how the Ansar became instrumental in establishing and spreading Islam. Shaykh Bazi also reflects on the lives of the young companions who dedicated themselves completely to the service of the deen and whose sacrifices were honored by Rasulullah ﷺ and the angels. Most importantly, the reminder challenges us to reflect on our own lives. What opportunities has Allah given us? Why did we come to the places we live today?
