Fennario (Scottish Folk Song)
Who in the world knows where Fennario is? But, the song originates in Scotland. It’s a ballad told from the perspective of a soldier, who perhaps is jealously in love with Peggy-O, who is to marry Sweet William, the captain of an army. The jealous onlooker cruelty tells Peggy-O that William has died and his love in-requires causes a wrath that now extends to woman-kind.
