Galería Viva - Chukunate Drums desde Turbo

"Galería Viva" is an audiovisual series produced by the Antioquia Institute of Culture and Heritage in partnership with Teleantioquia. Its aim is to strengthen the Palace of Culture's role as a venue for the circulation and promotion of the department's artistic and cultural life, within the House of Culture of the Antioquians. We invite you to watch the staging of diverse choreographic, musical, and oral performances, all using the Palace as a stage. These performances generate a dialogue between the exhibited works, the art galleries, the architectural details, and the performances of the artists from Antioquia Vive la Música, La Danza y el Teatro (Antioquia Lives Music, Dance, and Theater), in a high-quality audiovisual production designed to strengthen the circulation of our Antioquian artists. Chapter 1 - Chukunate Drums - 1. In the Swamp 2. The Pain of Darién 3. Roots They make music with unconventional instruments, proposing alternative ways of approaching art as a transformative force in our society. Their proposal is to create percussion music using everyday objects such as buckets, pots, spoons, cans, bottles, and more, accompanied by vocals and body movements. In addition to contributing to environmental awareness, Chukunate offers young people an outlet, allowing them to see a viable path in life through art and culture. Its creator, Feliciano Blandón, tells us that society faces many problems, and if we don't take ownership of these issues, we won't find a quick and effective solution. That's why this musical project is so relevant. #GaleríaViva #ChukunateDrums
