Feeding The Homeless- Red Beans and Rice, Fried Chicken, Cornbread and Banana Cake

Feeding our homeless brothers and sisters ❤️ Red Beans and Rice Ingredients: 3T vegetable oil 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 3 or 4 stalks celery, chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 2T Creole seasoning (to taste) 1t thyme 1 bay leaf 1 pkg. Andouille or kielbasa sausage, slice 1- 15oz can tomato sauce( plus 1/4 c.water to rinse out the can) 2c chicken broth 3 cans small red beans, drained and rinsed 1T worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper to taste Hot sauce to taste Directions: Saute onions, garlic, celery and garlic on medium until softened . Add Creole seasoning,thyme and bay leaf. Add sausage and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes. Add tomato sauce and water from rinsing the can, chicken broth, red beans and worcestershire. Bring to a boil, turn down to a slow simmer and cook for about 30 to 45 minutes until a bit thickened and creamy. Serve over hot rice.
