Flosstubeversity ~ How to Stitch IN-HAND

Thank you for choosing to connect with me today. I love being able to share my stitching journey and the knowledge I have accumulated over the last 30+ years of stitching. In no way am I an expert in this field so after watching this if you have information you would like to contribute please reach out so I can add your information in the description box. Today I am sharing how my mom taught me to knit while seated aboard a train travelling through Europe. I was 13 years old and little did I know at that time, the skill I was learning was one that would shape who I have become today. I will cover the three main types of crossstitch: Danish, English and Victorian. As a stitcher, whether in hand or in hoop/frame, you are likely already using these stitches without knowing their names! Once you become comfortable with stitching in hand you will discover you are moving seamlessly between all 3 methods without thinking about, can you believe that?? Perhaps the largest take away for being successful with in hand stitching, is to be cognizant of your stitch path. Being aware of where your needle will end up on the pattern, how will it travel back, does your wrist bend that way to angel your needle correctly? Once you can think about the stitch path, its time to choose the most efficient path and get stitching! Lets connect!
