The Race for the Future: Which Countries and What Values Will Prevail?

This event is part of Yale University’s Presidential Lecture Series. Each semester, a leading expert will visit Yale to share ideas and inspire critical thought on today's most complex topics. Harvey Fineberg is Professor Emeritus of Health Policy and Management, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; past president, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation; past president, U.S. National Academy of Medicine; and past provost, Harvard University. Dr. Fineberg led a national conversation, “Rethinking Researcher Assessment and Incentives at U.S. Academic Institutions” through workshops at the National Academies, and through his role at the Moore Foundation where he championed the MA3 Challenge for institutions pursuing bold, creative strategies to develop academic reward systems that foster a collaborative, responsive, and transparent research environment.
