As one of the main sources of funding for the maintenance of the work of Casas André Luiz, all of the income generated by Mercatudo comes from the adoption of practices and techniques that allow for the reuse and recycling of various donations received from society, even reducing materials that would otherwise be discarded into the environment. Donations received from individuals and legal entities are collected, sorted and directed correctly. Products in usable or refurbished condition, which do not meet the direct needs of the institution, are sold at Mercatudo bazaars at affordable prices. The rest are disposed of for recycling or appropriate disposal. Merca Tudo has 8 bazaars distributed throughout Greater São Paulo. In this video, we show our visit to the Santo Amaro unit in the South Zone of São Paulo. All units sell products at affordable prices and with easy payment options, such as furniture, household appliances, utensils, electronics, construction materials and others that are used to provide income to meet the institution's other demands, such as food, medication, personal hygiene, clothing and other patient needs.
