The Linux Filesystem is CRAZY!

In Linux, EVERYTHING is a file. Even hardware. That's accomplished using a few virtual filesystems. Thankfully, it's not too terribly complicated. The actual files, however, are stored in some even crazier ways. Many of the directories are created the way they are because of past needs. So due to backward compatibility, and some stubborn refusal to change, we have a bunch of stuff to learn about where files are found on Linux. We cover: /bin, /usr/bin, /sbin, /usr/sbin, /usr/local, /proc, /sys, /dev, /etc, /var/log, /boot -- and probably a bunch of other locations I've already forgotten about! (No worries, I took notes, lol) This video based on: LPI Linux Essentials Objective 4.3 - Where Data is Stored https://www.lpi.org/our-certification... #LPI #LinuxEssentials #Exam_010_160 #Linux Find me online:   / shawnp0wers   https://brainofshawn.com Check out my comic!   / mybigroundworld
