Planting Winter Canola | Vlog 35 Well, we're trying something completely different on the farm, winter canola. We've never grown canola before so it's exciting and scary at the same time. The seed is super small and has to be planted at a certain depth, so we had to call the reinforcements. My friend Stefan came over with his Vaderstad biodrill to help us out. The video covers tillage, rolling and seeding the winter canola. The hybrid we're growing is the only one registered to grow and is called Mercedes. The seed came from Germany and imported by C&M Seed here in Ontario.
