A Closer Look at a Pharmacist's Salary | Is it Worth It?

In this video I detail the financial cost of becoming a pharmacist in two ways. I first compare the amount of money it takes to get a pharmacy degree to the amount of money you could have earned if you were to pursue a career in computer engineering. The reason I did this specific comparison is because computer engineering is currently one of those fields where you can make decent money without having to pursue a masters or a doctorate degree. The difference in the amount you have to pay + the amount you could have earned after 4 years, at the age of 27 when you graduate pharmacy school, is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you were to invest this money into the stock market at the age of 27 until you retire, you would have millions of dollars extra by the time you reach 66 years of age. Next I detailed exactly how much a pharmacist is left with after subtracting daily expenses. The overall goal of this video is to show that you don't pursue pharmacy if you are solely in it for the money. There are other careers out there where you can potential earn more money. The reason to pursue pharmacy is because it is a noble career and the satisfaction of taking care of someone's health is priceless. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equipment: GoPro Hero 7 Black: https://amzn.to/2WveIR6 Rode Mic: https://amzn.to/2WCEenH GoPro Adapter Case for Mic: https://amzn.to/2U8fQxl Neewer Ring Light: https://amzn.to/2YCH6Tn GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited on Final Cut Pro X
